Siemens Mobility Holding is an investment vehicle and wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Aktiengesellschaft ( Siemens AG ), the Germany-based ultimate parent of the Siemens group of companies ( Siemens ). Siemens Mobility Holding and Siemens Mobility GmbH management, a Siemens AG subsidiary, (together SMO ) operate in Australia through their subsidiary, Siemens Mobility Pty Ltd ( Siemens Mobility ). In Australia, Siemens Mobility is active in the supply of rolling stock, signalling systems, rail electrification services, rolling stock diagnostics and related software. To a limited historical extent, Siemens Mobility has previously supplied rail infrastructure diagnostics. MerMec is an Italian company headquartered in Monopoli, Italy. MerMec operates in Australia through its subsidiary, MerMec Australia Pty Ltd, which supplies rail infrastructure diagnostics (including diagnostics vehicles and onboard diagnostics components), rolling stock diagnostics components, related software, and quality control components for industrial manufacturing environments.
