Relevantly, SLB supplies exploration and production software including Petrel, Eclipse, Intersect, OFM, Techlog, Omega, Petromod, DrillPlan, Pipesim and Olga. S&P Global is an information, data, analytics, ratings, indices and commodity-information business. This includes an energy division which provides independent information and benchmark prices for the energy and commodity markets. S&P Global also offers geoscience software used to scope, plan and monitor oil and gas well development. S&P Global’s geoscience and engineering portfolio (the target of the Acquisition) comprises the following software products, used in upstream oil and gas exploration and production workflows: Kingdom, Petra, Harmony Enterprise, Analytics Explorer, SubPUMP, PowerTools, FieldDIRECT, Piper, WellTest and Element.
