Genesis Capital-controlled General Dental Holdings Pty Ltd (Impression Dental Group) acquired Dr Franck Page's Coastal Dental Care Australia Pty Ltd via a 100% share sale. The dental services transaction includes Coastal Dental Care's 15 practices, a dental laboratory, denture clinic, and dental supplies in Queensland and Northern NSW.
General Dental Holdings Pty Ltd (trading as Impression Dental Group) ( IDG ) proposes to acquire 100% of the shares in Coastal Dental Care Australia Pty Ltd ( CDC ), through a share sale deed. CDC is owned by Dr Franck Page and operates 15 dental practices across the Redland Bay and Gold Coast areas in Queensland and in Northern NSW under the Coastal Dental Care, Dental Implants & Aesthetics, and Gold Coast Holistic Dental Care names. CDC also has a dental laboratory (The Lab), a denture clinic (Gold Coast Dentures by Design) and a dental supplies organisation (Dental Plus). IDG is an Australian-based dental support organisation that provides centralised services, including recruitment, payroll, marketing, IT, finance, and operation, to dental practitioners. IDG currently owns and supports 23 independently branded dental practices in Australia which provide dental services to the public, but IDG does not have any practices in the Redland Bay and Gold Coast areas or Northern NSW. IDG is controlled by Genesis Capital, an Australian-based private equity firm that invests in businesses operating in the healthcare sector. Genesis Capital’s investments also include Pacific Smiles Group ( PSG ) which sets up new dental centres from which dentists run their practice and provides operational support. PSG has over 120 dental centres across Australia, including 1 in the Redland Bay area, 5 on the Gold Coast, and 1 in Tweed. PSG’s dental centres are typically located inside shopping centres and operate under the Pacific Smiles Dental and nib Dental Care brands on the East Coast.
