Petalite Investment Pte. Ltd., an affiliate of GIC Pte. Ltd., proposes to acquire approximately 32% of the equity interests in private equity firm Cinven Discovery Holdings Limited Partnership. Cinven, with management, owns the Envu Group, which supplies non-agricultural weed, disease, and pest control products in Australia. This is a share sale.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission ( ACCC ) is currently assessing Petalite Investment Pte. Ltd.’s ( Petalite ) proposed acquisition of approximately 32% of the equity interests in Cinven Discovery Holdings Limited Partnership and its subsidiaries ( Cinven ) (the Acquisition ). Petalite is an investment holding company and an affiliate of GIC Pte. Ltd. ( GIC ). Cinven is a private equity firm. Cinven and management hold 100% of the Envu Group ( Envu ). In Australia, Envu is active in the development and supply of weed, disease and pest control products for non-agricultural applications, including turf and ornamentals, professional pest management, industrial vegetation management, forestry, mosquito management, and rangelands and pasture management.
The ACCC has prepared a questionnaire on the Acquisition. Submissions or information in response to the questionnaire should be provided 31 July 2026 via email to mergers@accc.gov.au with the title Submission re: Petalite - Envu . The ACCC’s ability to give detailed consideration to submissions received after this time may be limited.
