AbbVie is a North Chicago-based, New York Stock Exchange-listed global biopharmaceutical company active in the development and supply of medicines and therapies across a range of therapeutic areas, including immunology, oncology, neuroscience, aesthetics and eye care. In Australia, AbbVie supplies Rinvoq, a Janus Kinase (JAK) inhibitor used to treat atopic dermatitis. Apogee is a San Francisco-based, NASDAQ-listed clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing a pipeline of biologic therapies for inflammatory and immunological diseases, including atopic dermatitis, asthma, eosinophilic oesophagitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Apogee’s lead asset, zumilokibart (APG777), is a clinical-stage (Phase 2b) monoclonal antibody therapy that targets interleukin-13 (IL-13) for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Apogee does not have any marketed products anywhere in the world. AbbVie and Apogee overlap in the development of therapies for the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
