BPEA Private Equity Fund IX ( BPEA IX ), through the Japanese special purpose vehicle Kamgras 1 K.K., proposes to acquire all issued common shares and share options in Kakaku.com, Inc. ( Kakaku.com ), a Japanese listed company. BPEA IX is a private investment fund controlled by EQT Fund Management S.à r.l., its alternative investment fund manager. Kakaku.com operates online price comparison and consumer information platforms in Japan. Its indirect subsidiary, Time Design International Pte Ltd, incorporated in Singapore, generates commission revenues from Australian customers booking bundled travel packages (such as airline tickets and hotel accommodation) through its technology platform.
