Mizuho Securities Co. Ltd ( Mizuho ) proposes to acquire an interest of between 61.60% and 78.30% in Avendus Capital Private Limited ( Avendus ) (the Acquisition ). Mizuho is a subsidiary of Mizuho Financial Group, a full service Japanese financial services company. Mizuho through its connected entities, supplies financial services within Australia, including business banking, financial advisory and auto finance and car leasing. Avendus is an Indian investment bank and financial services firm that provides bespoke solutions in the areas of investment banking, institutional equities, wealth management, asset management and credit solutions. Founded in 1999, Avendus operates in India, the United States, Singapore and United Kingdom through its subsidiaries. It is a Securities and Exchange Board of India registered merchant banker. Avendus has limited operations in Australia, supplying some research analyst and stock broking services via its wholly owned subsidiary, Spark Institutional Equities Private Limited.
