Merger assessment guidelines published

The ACCC has published updated merger assessment guidelines following consultation over March to April.

The merger assessment guidelines outline the analytical framework the ACCC will apply when assessing notified acquisitions under the new regime. They are intended to help merger parties and their advisers:

• understand how the ACCC will assess acquisitions under the new regime
• have greater predictability and transparency regarding ACCC decision making
