How to lodge voluntary notifications from 1 July 2025

We will soon be moving to an online acquisitions portal for businesses to lodge notifications and requests for pre-notification engagement. In the interim, you can email your notification and requests for pre-notification engagement to notify-an-acquisition@accc.gov.au.

Before lodging your notification, check the ACCC website for the latest information about how to notify and pay any applicable fees.

Once available, businesses will use the online acquisitions portal to:

  • notify an acquisition
  • provide payment information (if applicable)

Acquisitions register

From 1 July 2025, the acquisitions register will be available at http://www.accc.gov.au/acquisitions-register. It will provide transparency of all notified acquisitions, including:

  • key details for each notified acquisition
  • the stage in the assessment process
  • when consultation is open
  • a record of ACCC decisions and reasons

Informal merger review

There is no change to the current process or contact points for requesting informal merger review. The public informal merger reviews register is also unchanged.
