ACCC Acquisitions Portal Launch

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission plans to launch its acquisitions portal in the week commencing 3 November 2025. Once available, parties should submit early discussion requests, pre-notification engagement requests, and notifications through this portal.

Stakeholder Information Session

Informal Clearance Request Deadlines

The ACCC has established submission windows:

• Complex matters: Submit immediately to allow adequate review time
• Simple matters: Submit by 1 December 2025 (no horizontal overlaps, vertical links, or competition concerns)

The Commission warns that "response times, even for simple matters, may be affected by a large increase in informal clearance requests" and cannot guarantee completion within specific timeframes before year-end.
