The ACCC has published data for the new merger control regime

The ACCC has published data on the new merger control regime's operation from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. The data includes:

• how many notifications and notification waiver applications we received
• how many determinations were made and their outcomes
• how long assessments took
• the types of acquisitions considered
• the industries involved in the acquisitions based on Australian and New Zealand standard industrial classification (ANZSIC).

In our next update, we will be adding data on pre-notification length, timeline extensions, section 155 notices and transaction values.
