Genea Pty Ltd, an IVF and fertility business operating clinics across Australia, proposes to acquire Care Fertility Greenslopes Pty Ltd. This acquisition includes an associated trust and intellectual property, targeting the independent gynaecology, IVF and fertility clinic located in Greenslopes, Queensland.
The Acquirer, Genea Pty Ltd ( Genea ) operates an IVF and fertility business with clinics in NSW, the ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia. Genea operates a clinic in Bowen Hills, Queensland, and an entity related to Genea ( Adora Holdco Pty Ltd ) operates a bulk-billed IVF clinic, Adora Fertility, in Taringa, Queensland. Genea proposes to acquire a single independent clinic, Care Fertility Greenslopes Pty Ltd ( Care Fertility ), along with an associated trust (Care Fertility Greenslopes Unit Trust) and intellectual property (the Acquisition ). Care Fertility is a gynaecology, IVF and fertility business located in Greenslopes, Queensland that is ultimately owned and controlled by Dr Clare Boothroyd.
The ACCC has prepared a questionnaire on the Acquisition. The ACCC's ability to give detailed consideration to submissions received after this time may be limited.
