ACURIO Health Pty Ltd proposes to acquire Nepean, Sydney Southwest, and Campbelltown Private Hospitals from Healthscope Operations Pty Ltd. This forms part of a broader consortium acquisition of Healthscope's private hospital portfolio, being sold by receivers McGrathNicol. Both parties operate private hospitals in Australia.
ACURIO Health Pty Ltd (Acurio) proposes to acquire three private hospitals located in the greater Sydney area from Healthscope Operations Pty Ltd (Healthscope) (the Acquisition). The three private hospitals that are the subject of the Acquisition are: Nepean Private Hospital in Kingswood; Sydney Southwest Private Hospital in Liverpool; and Campbelltown Private Hospital in Campbelltown. The Acquisition forms part of a broader consortium acquisition of Healthscope's portfolio. The other consortium members are Calvary, Healthe Care and KnG Group, which will each acquire separate hospitals pursuant to inter-conditional sale agreements. Acurio is a private hospital operator, which currently operates The George Centre in the Gledswood Hills and Sydney Day Hospital in the Sydney central business district. The George Centre is a 61-bed private hospital offering overnight accommodation. It offers maternity and paediatric services, with a 26-bed private maternity unit, as well as a range of other surgical services. Sydney Day Hospital is a day surgery which does not offer overnight accommodation. Healthscope operates a network of private hospitals across Australia. On 26 May 2025, Healthscope's parent entities entered into receivership, with McGrathNicol appointed as Receivers to complete a sale of the business. The Receivers conducted an extended sale process over Healthscope's hospital portfolio.
