Coles Group Limited ( Coles ) is an Australian public company (ASX: COL) that primarily operates: supermarkets nationwide through its subsidiary, Coles Supermarkets Australia Pty Ltd; and retail liquor stores nationwide, trading under the Liquorland, Liquorland Warehouse and Liquorland Cellars brands. Builtcom Properties 11 Pty Ltd ( Lessor ) is an Australian private property development and building company. It is based in Burwood, NSW. Coles Supermarkets Australia Pty Ltd has signed a letter of offer in respect of a proposed lease of a Coles supermarket to be constructed within a new mixed-use development at 5 Olympic Drive & 14- 24 Childs Street, Lidcombe NSW (the Acquisition ). The proposed Coles supermarket is anticipated to open in January 2030.
The ACCC has prepared a questionnaire on the Acquisition. Submissions or information in response to the questionnaire should be provided by 12 June 2026 via email to mergers@accc.gov.au with the title Coles - supermarket site in Lidcombe (NSW) . The ACCC’s ability to give detailed consideration to submissions received after this time may be limited.
