Supagas Pty Limited, a national producer and supplier of LPG and industrial gases, proposes to acquire substantially all assets of Heeson Medical Pty Ltd and Jacobba Pty Ltd. Heeson Medical specialises in supplying medical gases and related equipment for domestic, veterinary, medical clinic, and aged care use in South East Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Supagas Pty Limited ( Supagas ) proposes to acquire substantially all of the assets held by Heeson Medical Pty Ltd and Jacobba Pty Ltd (together, Heeson Medical ) (the Acquisition ). Supagas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation, which is part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group. Supagas is a national producer and supplier of LPG as well as a producer and supplier of some industrial gases, which are used in industrial, commercial, medical and residential applications. Supagas’ immediate parent company, NSC (Australia) Pty Ltd, also owns Coregas Pty Ltd ( Coregas ). Coregas is a national producer and supplier of compressed industrial gases and cryogenic liquids across a range of sectors, including some medical gases. Heeson Medical is a Brisbane-based company specialising in the supply of medical gases (mainly oxygen) and related equipment and accessories for domestic use, veterinary clinics, small medical clinics and aged care centres located within the South East Queensland and northern New South Wales regions.
The ACCC has prepared a questionnaire on the Acquisition. Submissions or information in response to the questionnaire should be provided by 19 August 2026 via email to mergers@accc.gov.au with the title Submission re: Supagas – Heeson Medical . The ACCC’s ability to give detailed consideration to submissions received after this time may be limited.
