Coles Group Limited (Coles) is an Australian public company (ASX: COL) that primarily operates: supermarkets nationwide through its subsidiary, Coles Supermarkets Australia Pty Ltd; and retail liquor stores nationwide, trading under the Liquorland, Liquorland Warehouse and Liquorland Cellars brands. Coles also has a property development arm, Coles Group Property Developments Ltd (CGPD), that buys land and constructs shopping centres, standalone supermarkets and/or liquor outlets and then sells these completed sites to third party buyers. Neubau Holdings No 22 (the Vendor) is an Australian private property development and construction company. The Vendor is based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. It specialises in mixed-use, retail, commercial medical, industrial and residential developments. CGPD has entered into an offer to purchase 22 Palmwoods Montville Road, Palmwoods QLD 4555 (Target Site) to facilitate the development of a new standalone Coles supermarket. Palmwoods is located on the Sunshine Coast, 13km west of Maroochydore and 85km north of Brisbane.
